Would you like to join our organization and help provide young athletes with disabilities opportunities to participate in an array of community based sports in a fun and meaningful way? Access Sports needs students to serve as mentors on the fields and court.
Youth volunteers must be in 6th to 12th grade. Volunteers can choose to participate in a variety of sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, and track. It is common for athletes and volunteers to participate in more than one sport.
Each new youth volunteer must attend a training session prior to the start of their first season. Volunteers will learn more about Access Sports and how to effectively work with athletes with disabilities. Training sessions are normally offered at the start of each sport.
Please note that you will be asked to complete youth volunteer forms for Access Sports and our partner organizations once per year. Access Sports forms are valid from August to July.
